Censorship on Television

Watching televsion is one o the most popular pasttimes in the world . The average malaysian tenager spends about twenty hours a week watching television. Its power to influence young minds cannot be doubted. This is why i think taht television programmes should be sensored. On strong reason for supporting censorship of elevision programmes show to much violence. research has proved that watching to much television violence has caused yuong pepole to accept violent behaviour as normal. this can lead to an increase in aggressive behaviour. Violent scenes shold, therefore, be censored, and shows with too many volent scences should not be aired. Another important points is that forenign programmes feature western values, which are often at odd ith Asian values. For example, western culture tolerant of issues such as pre-marital sex, homosexuality and lack of respect for outhority. Do we want our youth to be brainwashed into adopting such values? Certainly not! Therfore censorship or foreign programmes is essential to prevent this. i would like to conclude by saying that television can influence viewers both positively and negatively. Cencorship plays an important role in lessening its negative influence and preserving positive Asian values.

teenagers today

Young people today are totallyout of control. One only has to look at the newspaper to see this.Bohsia, lepak, ectasy pills...what next?It lokks as if they have too much free time.In our younger days,we had to help our parents after school so we had little time to waste.
I an absolutely shocked to read abaout young people using violence against their teachers and parents.Whatever happened to respect for the elders?
I am also dismayed to learn tahat volunteerism is dead in schools nowdays. It is getting very difficult to get students to help with cleaning the toilets and sweeping the classrooms.
Young people are becoming rather lazy noedays. Are we raising a generation of couch potatoes?Where are all the young boys these days? The playing fields are empty.Oh,I forget. They are probably loitering in the shopping malls.....
